ATIM - Association of Title Information Managers

The Association for Title Information Management is a non-profit, unincorporated organization which exists solely to sponsor an annual conference to discuss land title plants and the role they play or will play in the real estate transaction. MBAA - Mortgage Bankers Association of America

MISMO - Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization

The Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization's mission is to develop, promote, and maintain voluntary electronic commerce standards for the mortgage industry. Established in 1999 by the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, MISMO encourages participation from all sectors of the industry. Trimester MISMO Workgroup meetings are held in January, May, and September each year for development, maintenance, and improvement of electronic data standards. PRIA - Property Records Industry Association

The Property Records Industry Association (formerly PRIJTF, The Property Records Industry Joint Task Force) is a group of technology-savvy and forward-thinking county recorders which meets several times each year to work on nationwide recording standards. ALTA® is a member of PRIA.

Projects are under way to establish both paper and electronic standards for recording documents with the counties. The XML Workgroup of PRIA coordinates with MISMO on electronic data standards issues to ensure a smooth flow of electronic data throughout the real property transaction.
