RealBird rolls out real estate search tools to Silicon Valley

Service allows brokers to offer customized interactive property maps
RealBird, a company that provides interactive online maps and map-based lead-generation tools for the real estate industry, today announced the availability of its map-based search service with listings data from the RE InfoLink Multiple Listing Service, which serves five California counties in and around the Silicon Valley.
RE InfoLink serves about 16,000 Realtor subscribers, with an average 8,000 active listings in its database at any given time.
The RealBird Map-based Search tool provides interactive street maps with listings and aerial, topographical and Google maps. The service can be integrated into any real estate Web site and can be customized.
The service costs $25 per month for individual agents and $100 per month for small brokers, and carries the company's pledge that the service will generate leads "or your service is free." Featured property listings are automatically syndicated to hundreds of syndication servers and also uploaded to Google Base, RealBird reported.
Mark Thomason, the first Silicon Valley broker to adopt the RealBird technology on his Web site, http://www.ThomasonTeam.com, said in a statement, "This interactive, map-based search technology is much more user-friendly than the existing search tools. We … believe that real estate competitiveness depends increasingly on innovations in high technology."
Thomason's Web site enables consumers to click on an area of a map and view all of the properties on the map. Users can view a sampling of information about a property by moving the cursor over property icons on the map, and can click on the icons for more property details, according to the company announcement.
