Policy Forms Online

The ALTA Board approved recommendations to revise two existing forms and adopt one new endorsement during a meeting on July 26, 2010. These forms are now in a 30-day comment period which will conclude on September 15, 2010. Comments may be submitted in writing and will be reviewed by the Forms Committee before final publication. Welcome to the ALTA® Policy Forms Online! This service provides access to Basic Policies, Commitment Forms, Endorsement Forms, Reinsurance Agreements, and Related Documents like Closing Protection Letters, Arbitration Rules, and the Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA®/ACSM Land Title Surveys. Some of these forms are available to any interested party, but many are available only to ALTA Members, Licensees, or Policy Forms Subscribers and are marked with the [M] or [S] symbol to indicate "Member Only" or "Special" access.

As always, the forms have been developed by the ALTA Forms Committee and approved by the ALTA Board. An opportunity to review and comment is extended to ALTA Members and industry customers before final publication. The forms, in general, are made available for customer convenience. The parties are free in each case to agree to different terms, and the use of these forms is voluntary, unless required by law.

Effective June 17, 2006, ALTA® approved new policy forms and a new collection of endorsements and delayed decertifying older forms for one year, which has now passed. The older forms, which are no longer recognized as official ALTA® forms, have been moved to new "Archived" sections towards the bottom of these listings. These forms will continue to be listed because the prior language continues to exist and individual insurers have these forms in the marketplace. In addition, customers may request or regulatory approval may mandate the use of some of these forms.
