Educational content for the Annual Convention is developed using the proposals in combination with specific committee guidance. All proposals are reviewed by ALTA's Executive Staff with guidance from the ALTA Education committee with the intention of forming a well rounded educational program.
Guidelines for Successful Proposals
Filling out the Form:
Session name and description should be proposed using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Complete contact information should be provided for all proposed presenters and panelists. Sessions with specific speakers (instead of TBD) will be given more consideration.
Proposals should include clearly defined learning objectives.
Presentations are limited to a maximum of four speakers.
Proposals are expected to be company and product neutral, educational in focus, and well-formed.
If any part of the content of your proposal is vendor or company specific, you should consider forming a panel with presenters from competitor companies or a case study with customers. These types of panel presentations are very popular and have proven to be successful.
Sales pitches for products or services disguised as proposals will be eliminated.
Presentations are scheduled on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the convention week. Please submit a proposal only if you are available to present on all of these days.
Presentations are scheduled for 75 minutes.
Generally, you can expect 50 - 100 attendees.
The professional development sessions are organized into Tracks. The five tracks we are planning for the 2015 Annual Convention are:
Sales, Strategy & Marketing

Is the scope of your presentation appropriate to the 75 minute time limitation?
Is the presentation focused on the title industry professional?
Is there demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter?
Is the material presented logically?
Are there clearly defined learning objectives?
Is the scope appropriate for audiences of all backgrounds (gender, ethnicity, organization, size, etc)?
Please note that every effort will be made to accommodate all qualified presentations. However, even some qualified presentations may not be selected because of time and space limitations.
Annual Convention speakers (including presenters, co-presenters, moderators, and panelists) are eligible for the following benefits:
