American Land Title Association Honors Texas Land Title Association Member with National Title Professional Recognition

Washington, DC, November 10, 2020 — Cathy Clamp CTIP, NTP has earned her National Title Professional (NTP) designation from the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry. Formally acknowledged with her NTP designation on Oct. 1, 2020, Clamp is one of 94 leaders across the United States who have devoted their careers and themselves to the land title industry.

The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.*

“The NTP designation is a recognition that only the most knowledgeable and committed land title insurance industry professionals are entitled to,” said ALTA President Bill Burding NTP. “I have gone through the process, and it is not easy. ALTA members trying to earn their designation must undergo a vigorous audit and demonstrate extensive experience in and dedication to the title insurance industry. Cathy has been a part of the land title insurance industry for two decades; her wealth of knowledge, creativity and persistence make her an ideal candidate for the NTP designation. I hope other title insurance experts follow her lead and aim for this achievement.”

As a member of the title insurance community for approximately 20 years, Clamp is an active member of the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA). She earned the TLTA’s Certified Title Insurance Professional (CTIP) designation in 2016 and serves on several committees, including the TLTA Institute, Webinar Planning and Cybersecurity committees. An escrow officer at Heart of Texas Title Co. in Brady, Texas, Clamp also is a bestselling author of urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels.

“I am thrilled that Cathy has achieved the NTP designation,” said Michael C. Savas, senior vice president, Agency Division, Texas Region, First American Title Guaranty Co. “I have known Cathy for many years, and she demonstrates intelligence and mastery of the complicated Texas regulatory regime. The fact that her expertise has now extended outside the boundary of Texas is not surprising and very welcome. Cathy is also a well-regarded member of TLTA, participating on committees and committed to sharing her experience by teaching webinars. Well done, Cathy!”
