California Department of Insurance Submits Proposed Regulations to the Office of Administrative Law

The CLTA has confirmed with the California Office of Administrative Law that the Department of Insurance submitted their proposed regulations on Friday, January 5, 2007.
The Department of Insurance issued these revised proposed regulations on November 30, 2006. The regulations seek to regulate the rates charged by underwritten title companies and title insurance companies. The Office of Administrative Law has 30 working days to approve or disapprove these regulations. The CLTA staff will be actively monitoring the outcome
