TLTA Names Title Person of the Year

July 2, 2013

The Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) presented Mark Greek, vice president and the state agency manager for First American Title Insurance Co., with its Title Person of the Year Award.

The award, which is the highest honor bestowed by TLTA, recognizes significant and longtime contributions to the title industry and the association.

“Mark has been a constant champion for our association and the title industry in Texas, and we are honored to present him with this prestigious award,” said Leslie Midgley, executive vice president and CEO of TLTA. “The contributions he has made as part of our association leadership are too many to name, and we are privileged to have him among our ranks.”

Greek has been an active TLTA member for a number of years, serving on numerous committees as both a member and chairman. He served as TLTA president (2009-2010) and currently serves as a trustee of the TLTA Political Action Committee and co-chairs the TLTAPAC Fund Raising Group.

Greek works out of First American's Houston office and has been with the company for 16 years. In his 29 year title insurance career, most of his time has been devoted to working with independent agents as an agency manager. He managed an agency for three years in Houston. Before he entered the title industry, Greek spent four years with Procter & Gamble, where at the age of 24, he was one of their youngest sales managers ever.

Greek earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee.
