MISMO’s Title Workgroup to Meet During January 2012 Trimester Meeting

November 15, 2011

MISMO will hold its January 2012 Trimester Meeting Jan. 23-27 at One Ocean Resort in Atlantic Beach Fla.

The meeting features a special technology education track all day Jan. 23, focused on the needs of software developers and data interface managers, as well as business analysts. Click here to read detailed descriptions of the sessions.

Attendees will find it to be a high-efficiency day of education on the MISMO XML standards and how to apply them with external business partners as well as internal data systems. This information will be a key component for enhancing your data integration efforts, as well as for meeting regulatory requirements like the Uniform Mortgage Data Program (UMDP). Sessions include:

  • MISMO Foundations: Structure and Strategy for a Turbulent World
  • Introduction to XML Schema
  • Using the MISMO Reference Model
  • Delivering or Receiving Data With Your Business Partners
  • Using the Reference Model Internally: Enterprise Systems
  • Implementing Documents with Version 3.2
This track is open to all Trimester attendees. It is also available as a special Monday-only registration for those who cannot attend the full Trimester for the special rate of only $195.

MISMO’s Title Workgroup will meet all day on Jan. 26 to work on implementation guides for Title Request/Response, eRemittance and eAgentValidation.

The Title Request/Response pair is a set of data standards that supports the request for title services and responses which support the exchange of information in advance of closing.

eRemittance is also a request/response pair that supports an Underwriter’s request for information about closed transactions and the Agent’s response with transaction details including premium amount.

eAgentValidation is a new standard in development and will support a request for agent status from a lender or LOS and the response from an Underwriter indicating whether or not the agent remains in good standing.

For questions about meeting registration, please contact Malikah Crable or call 202-557-2715. For meeting content and other topics, contact Gloria Zimmer or call 703-738-0235.
