The latest residential lending and home sales forecasts are not very favorable. Total mortgage origination volume is predicted to decline to $2.05 trillion in 2023 from the $2.26 trillion expected in 2022. In addition, existing home sales are predicted to decrease nearly 7% in 2023 compared to 2022.
