Proper Title Hires EVP of Business Development

Illinois-based Proper Title recently added Brent Fielder as executive vice president of business development. In this role, Fielder will be responsible for expanding the firm beyond Proper Title’s home state of Illinois, initially with a new location in northwest Indiana. He will also be responsible for recruiting key employees as well as growing and collaborating with sales teams.
“Brent’s depth of industry experience and a strong track record in developing multi-state title company operations made him the clear choice to lead Proper Title’s expansion into markets outside of Illinois,” said Mike Golden, partner and co-founder of Proper Title and co-founder and co-CEO of @properties.
Most recently, Fielder served as executive director of sales and marketing for Meridian Title Corp. in South Bend, Ind. In this position, he led the sales teams northwest Indiana, north-central Indiana, and southwest Michigan. During his 13-year tenure at Meridian, Fielder was promoted from escrow manager to regional sales manager to corporate sales manager to his most recent position.

Earlier in his career, Fielder spent eight years in title insurance in northwest Indiana as an operations manager for Metropolitan Title of Indiana and as an escrow manager for Chicago Title. Prior to that, Fielder was a loan officer for National City Bank in East Chicago, Ind.
