During its Virtual Annual Conference in August, the Property Records Industry Association (PRIA) elected six directors in three categories to serve two-year terms on the Board of Directors.

Elizabeth Blosser, ALTA’s senior director of government affairs, was re-elected to a second two-year term on the Property Records Industry Association's board of directors representing the business sector. Also re-elected to a second two-year board term to the business sector was Jana Miyasaki, senior project manager for CSC.

Others elected were:

  • Annette Hill, city register/assistant commissioner, N.Y. Dept. of Finance, was re-elected for a third two-year term; and Brandon Krause, register of deeds, Bay County, Mich., was elected to his first two-year term, both in the government category.
  • Jerry Lewallen, president, eRecording Partners Network, was re-elected to a fourth two-year term; while Kyle Quackenbush, manager of official records, Orange County, Fla., was elected to his first two-year term, both in the at-large category.
  • Gerald Smith, recorder, St. Louis County, Mo; Chris Walker, clerk, Jackson County, Ore.; and Sharon Martin, register of deeds, Washington County, Wis., will continue on the board for the second year of their two-year terms.
  • Penny Reed, senior vice president with Wells Fargo; Dan Shmukler, regional account manager, Harris Recording Solutions; and Brian Ernissee, vice president, Nationwide Title Clearing, will continue on the board in the business category.
  • Larry Burtness, manager of customer operations at Figure Technologies, will finish the final year of his term as an at-large director. He will serve in a dual capacity as immediate past president.

The new board convened Aug. 20, to elect officers for one-year terms. Lewallen was elected president, Hill will serve as vice president, Ernissee takes over the position of treasurer and Smith will continue in the role of secretary.

“I am honored to be chosen by my fellow board members to the chief elected position for PRIA, and to serve with such a prominent group of industry professionals,” Lewallen said. “My goal is to expand on PRIA’s current initiatives and to advance PRIA’s strategic goals for the coming year.”
