TitleVest Hires Strategic Sales Advisor

August 11, 2020

New York-based TitleVest announced that Rafael Castellanos has joined the team as a strategic sales advisor.

“Rafael brings 20 years of title insurance industry experience to the TitleVest team and is well known in the New York City market and beyond,” said Brian D. Tormey, president of TitleVest. “Rafael’s rich expertise together with TitleVest’s innovative technology and deep resources enhances our ability to serve clients in the New York area and beyond.”

Prior to joining TitleVest, Castellanos served as the founding partner, majority principal and managing director of Expert Title Insurance Agency LLC. In this role, he managed all day-to-day operations of the abstract company and managed legal and banking matters for clients.

Castellanos has served on the New York State Land Title Association’s Executive Committee since 2011. He’s also a member of ALTA. In addition, Castellanos has volunteered as an active emergency medical technician for the Central Park Medical Unit, the frontline Emergency Medical Service for Central Park, for 40 years. He currently serves as president and co-chairman of its board of directors.

“I am excited to join the TitleVest team and play a role in the growth of this award-winning organization,” said Castellanos. “TitleVest and its parent company First American are well-regarded in the industry and known for their proprietary technology that aims to simplify the closing process.
