January 7, 2020

Stewart Title’s Agency Services in Massachusetts announced the addition of two underwriting counsels and two senior agency services representatives to its staff in Massachusetts. The addition of these industry veterans is in response to the growing demand and positive outlook across the state, the company said in a release.

Tracie Kester joins Stewart after three years as senior underwriting counsel at a national title insurance company underwriter. Prior to that, she was a partner with the law firm of Annino, Draper & Moore PC, in Springfield, Mass., where she represented lenders, buyers and sellers in residential and commercial real estate transactions. She was also an instructor for the Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley in Springfield, where she taught pre-license salesperson classes from 2008 through 2016. Kester is a member of the American Land Title Association, the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts, and the Hampden County Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Christine Provost served as branch counsel and senior underwriting Counsel with a national title insurance company underwriter for the past 14 years and has more than 30 years of experience in conveyancing and title insurance. With a focus on service and responsiveness, her experience includes underwriting all types of transactions from complex commercial and energy to a vast range of residential issues. Provost is a member of the American Land Title Association, the Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association Standards and Forms Committee and the Real Estate Section of the Hampden County Bar Association.

Tom Potito is a brand and marketing strategist with more than 35 years of experience working in all phases of real estate, including real estate sales, mortgage origination and PMI sales. He’s worked the past 14 years in the title insurance industry.

Mary Blomerth has been an agency sales representative for 27 years. Prior to working in the title insurance industry, she worked as a real estate paralegal in Massachusetts and New York City.

“The demand and growth in our Massachusetts market is high, and the addition of these four industry veterans demonstrates our commitment to meeting our agents’ growing needs,” said Gary Bernier, senior vice president and agency services for the New England states. “Christine and Tracie are talented attorneys and highly respected underwriters, and Tom and Mary are seasoned professionals who bring a solutions-based customer service approach to their job. I’m excited to welcome them to an already successful Massachusetts team, and I know our customers will benefit from their superior service and expertise.”
