First American Named One of America’s Best Employers

April 23, 2019

First American Financial Corporation was recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers in 2019 in the large employers category, which features the top 500 companies across 25 industry sectors that employ more than 5,000 people. This marks the second time that First American has been named to Forbes’ America’s Best Employers list.

Forbes America’s Best Employers are chosen based on an independent survey from a sample of 50,000 American workers. The survey evaluation emphasizes how likely employees were to recommend their employer to friends and family. Employees were also asked to recommend other employers, which also factored into the rankings.

“Our employees place a premium on putting people first. It’s how we work with each other, with our customers and within the communities in which we operate,” said Dennis J. Gilmore, CEO, First Ameri-can Financial Corporation. “That our own employees would recommend us as a great employer reflects the integrity and commitment of their colleagues – the people they work with every day. It is their efforts that have earned First American’s reputation for leadership and innovation in the title insurance and settlement services industry.”

Earlier this year, First American was named one of the 2019 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, according to Fortune and global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work. Fortune and Great Place to Work also recognized First American in 2019 as one of the Best Workplaces in Financial Ser-vices and Insurance for the third year in a row and named First American as one of the 2019 Best Workplaces in Texas for the second year in a row.

In 2018, Fortune magazine and Great Place to Work recognized First American for the third consecutive year as one of the Best Workplaces for Women and one of the Best Workplaces for Diversity. First American has earned recognition as a “best place to work” 55 times in publications across the United States since 2012.
