Maryland E-recording Statewide with Simplifile

March 25, 2019

Simplifile announced that St. Mary’s County, Md., has adopted its e-recording service.

With the addition of St. Mary's County, Maryland has become the 10th state to implement Simplifile's e-recording network statewide.

“2019 has already been a banner year for Simplifile, with the addition of our 1,900th jurisdiction and statewide e-recording in Nevada,” said Simplifile President Paul Clifford. “Now, we’re thrilled to announce that Maryland has joined the select group of states that have modernized their document recording services statewide with Simplifile, and as the year progresses, we hope to see additional states follow suit to deliver process efficiency and cost savings to their constituents.”

In 2015, Baltimore County became the first Maryland county to adopt Simplifile’s e-recording service. Baltimore County began using Simplifile as part of the Baltimore County Circuit Court’s e-recording pilot. With the addition of St. Mary’s County, all 24 Maryland counties now e-record with Simplifile.

Simplifile offers e-recording in more than 1,900 jurisdictions. In addition to Maryland, nine other states offer statewide e-recording through Simplifile, including Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Massachusetts, Nevada and Oregon.
