Wife of Former ALTA President Passes Away

Glenda Sproles Rattikin, the wife of Jack Rattikin Jr., a former ALTA president, passed away Jan. 2 at the age of 84. Glenda also was the mother of Jack Rattikin III, who currently serves on ALTA’s Board of Governors.

According to her obituary, Glenda was proud to serve as the First Lady for both ALTA and the Texas Land Title Association. Her free time was filled with travel, navigating her family through virtually every state and national park in the family’s infamous motor home (affectionately known as “The Bus”). She dearly loved gazing for hours on end over the water, whether on a cruise, the deck of her lake house, or the beaches near Destin, Fla., truly her “Happy Place.”

Glenda enjoyed needlepoint and bridge. She was known and appreciated for her tremendous flair for modern design, style, art and architecture. Home time meant watching sports by the fireplace, rooting on her beloved Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and tennis stars. Mostly, she took extreme joy and pride in her family, revealing what it means to fully love and cherish all that are dear.
