RamQuest Gives Back to Teachers

September 11, 2018

As part of an ongoing initiative aimed at supporting local charities and other nonprofit organizations, RamQuest Inc. and its employees provided back-to-school support for Plano ISD teachers. The RamQuest Gives Back program provided more than 1,500 school supplies and volunteer time to Plano ISD’s CORE Store.

RamQuest employees collected 1,060 school-supply items ranging from backpacks to notebooks over the span of a month. RamQuest matched high-demand items, in addition to purchasing additional school supplies. A grand total of 1,672 school supplies were donated through the RamQuest Gives Back initiative to Plano ISD’s CORE Store.

“We are so grateful for community partners like RamQuest who help us fulfill the CORE Store’s vision to help students succeed in the classroom by supplying teachers with donated classroom supplies,” said Jennifer Jamieson, president of Plano ISD Education Foundation. “The donated supplies will provide an opportunity for every Plano ISD student to have the supplies required for success in school.”

In addition, 19 RamQuest team members volunteered time to the CORE Store. The RamQuest volunteers sorted and stocked donated items to ensure that the Plano ISD teachers would have the best experience possible when shopping the aisles for their students. RamQuest volunteers also assisted with check-in and helped teachers load supplies in their cars.

CORE Store by Plano ISD’s Education Foundation impacts 44,000 students by providing Plano ISD teachers the opportunity to shop for donated school supplies at no cost as many times as needed throughout the year for their students.
