June 14, 2016

ALTA awarded Emma Jo “EJ” Brent a National Title Professional (NTP) designation. Brent is the third NTP designee from Texas and joins more than 60 other industry leaders from around the United States who have earned the professional designation.

The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.

“EJ’s knowledge and dedication for our industry is exemplary and make her deserving of the prestigious National Title Professional designation,” said ALTA President John M. Hollenbeck NTP. ”Her enthusiasm and professionalism is a model for her peers in Texas. I encourage additional Texas land title insurance professionals to follow EJ’s lead and apply for this designation.”

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Brent is an agency representative and director of education for the agency team for First American Title Insurance Co. in Houston. She received the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) Certified Title Insurance Associate honor in April 2012. A frequent teacher and speaker for TLTA events, Brent is active in the TLTA serving at various times on the Certification Council, School Executive Committee and School Committee.
