Individual Non-Resident Licensing and Renewals Available in 51 Jurisdictions Through Registry

April 16, 2013

The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) announced that individual non-resident licensing and renewals are now available in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. With the implementation of initial non-resident licenses in Massachusetts, producers can now utilize NIPR for all non-resident licensing needs.

“For more than a decade, NIPR has been working with the states to achieve this goal,” said Roger Sevigny, NIPR board president and New Hampshire insurance commissioner. “State regulators and NIPR staff have worked closely to meet the needs of states while making the non-resident licensing process easier and more accessible for producers across the country.”

Individuals with resident licenses can apply or renew non-resident licenses through NIPR.

Title agencies and agents can utilize NIPR’s products if the state has added the title line of authority to their state business rules for electronic processing. Find more information about submitting an application or renewal through NIPR here.
