The Jay Turner Group joins Republic Title

August 12, 2008

For the last 24 years the name Jay Turner, has been synonymous with closing real estate transactions through Ticor Title from 1984 to 1991, and then Chicago Title from 1991 to 2008. As Coppell grew from just a few 1,000 residents and a few businesses in 1984 to what Coppell and Valley Ranch have now become, local attorney, Jay Turner and his staff, have been actively involved in thousands of real estate closings in the area.

Effective this summer, Turner and his staff have made another change, joining Republic Title, the No.1 title company in the Metroplex according to the Dallas Business Journal. Turner will be blending his Coppell and Valley Ranch offices with the existing Coppell office of Republic Title and moving all three locations to a new location in Valley Ranch in a new 6,700-square-foot building at the corner of Ranch Trail and MacArthur.

Turner looks upon this new change as being more beneficial to his customers.

“Title insurance policies and rates are exactly the same at every title company in the state of Texas,” Turner said. “What sets them apart is service. We have some of the best people in the industry not only in our local branches here, but also within the entire Republic Title Family. At Republic Title, the customer comes first and the entire focus is on assisting buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents and brokers in getting their transaction closed accurately and efficiently.”

In addition to overseeing the transition of the merger of the three offices in this area, Turner has been named a senior vice president, residential counsel within the Republic Title Group. He will also become a certified instructor and be able to offer continuing education classed for credit to local agents at the new training center in the new office in Valley Ranch.

“I especially look forward to this aspect o f my job,” Turner said. “A lot of what we do everyday is educate people on what is to them one of the most important transactions of their lives. We also educate real estate agents and sometimes lenders on the nuances of Texas title insurance.” Turner has been active in the community having served as a director and chairman for the Coppell Chamber of Commerce, founding president and director of the Coppell Independent School District Education Foundation, as well as youth coach in soccer, baseball and softball, and drill team dad. The Turner family was also one of the original families at St. Ann Catholic Church where Turner served on the Parish Council for many years as well as assisted with all land purchases and construction projects for the church.

“The most important things I want our customers and the community to know is that the service they have come to know and expect from my offices will not change,” Turner said. “Our name and location is changing, but all of our staff is still with us.”
