America's Settlement Company Adopts GATORS(R) Technology to Expand Business

PITTSBURGH, /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fiserv Lending Solutions' General American Corporation (GAC), a technology solution provider to the settlement services industry and a unit of Fiserv, Inc. (Nasdaq: FISV - News), has announced that North Carolina-based America's Settlement Company (ASC) will use Fiserv's GATORS® brand software to manage and expand title and closing operations.

GATORS® provides workflow and vendor management platforms for the settlement services and title industry and licenses technology solutions and software to a wide variety of settlement services providers. The GATORS® ASP application offers complete Web-enabled e-commerce solutions for land title and settlement information service on a monthly subscription basis, minimizing capital outlays, upfront investment, installation time and the risk of technological obsolescence.

America's Settlement Company is a full-service title and closing company. The company, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, plans to open new offices in Washington D.C., South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Tennessee. ASC co- owner Steve Lazaras sees GATORS® as an important component in the growth and success of the company. "Turnaround time on an order is always a critical element of this business, and to grow, we need to close as many loans as possible, as accurately and quickly as possible," he said. "GATORS® is the most dynamic solution we've seen in this industry, and the improvement on speed, accuracy and reporting will serve as an accelerator for our development."
