Steve McCartney Joins NextAce Corp. as CFO

ORANGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE) NextAce Corp., creators of an optical title search and recognition process utilized by the title insurance industry,has hired Steve McCartney as chief financial officer. McCartney brings 27 years of financial accounting and oversight, having primarily served in senior management positions in the title insurance industry.

Prior to joining NextAce and since 1997, McCartney was president of TCS Industries Inc., a manufacturer of precision sheet metal products, located in Albuquerque, N.M. During this period McCartney also served as a consultant to Diversified Title and Escrow (formerly Northern Counties Title Insurance Co.), where he had formerly held the positions of chief financial officer, executive vice president and treasurer. McCartney has also formerly held senior management positions with Fidelity National Financial Inc., where he performed the lead financial role in the company's IPO of common stock in February 1987. McCartney began his financial career with Deloitte& Touche in 1977.

McCartney holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Arizona State University.
