ORANGE, Calif., January 14, 2002 ? SMS, Settlement Services Inc has acquired InfoStream, Inc. of Tacoma, WA. Terms of the transaction, which closed earlier this month, were not disclosed.

InfoStream has been providing software solutions to the escrow and title market since 1984. This strategic acquisition will provide both companies with the unique position of offering more options for title and escrow closing software . InfoStream?s premier software, StreamLine, is an integrated suite of products encompassing title production, escrow closing and trust accounting that will add to SMS? existing menu of popular and successful offerings.

"The addition of InfoStream and its StreamLine software suite provides SMS with a unique opportunity to increase market share and cross selling opportunities, while complementing our software offerings in the national market," said Larry Davidson, president of SMS, Settlement Services, Inc.
