ALTA® Amendments Adopted in House |

Several amendments sought by ALTA were adopted in the Interest on Business Checking Legislation that passed the House on Tuesday, April 9, 2002. The legislation would allow banks to pay interest on business checking legislation. The amendments offered by ALTA are intended to preserve the current treatment of real estate transaction escrow accounts. For more details, contact ann_vomeigen@alta.org
