About TIPAC
The Title Industry Political Action Committee (TIPAC) is the collective voice of the title insurance industry and plays a critical role in advocacy on behalf of the industry as the official PAC of the American Land Title Association.
TIPAC is the only political action committee of its kind, organized for the express purpose of representing the title industry on Capitol Hill. TIPAC enables ALTA to develop relationships with members of Congress, while educating and advocating on behalf of the title insurance industry.
ALTA members who contribute to TIPAC are extraordinarily influential in our nation's political process. TIPAC combines your contribution with those from other title professionals. The money is then used to help elect and re-elect members of Congress who support the title insurance industry. Supporters receive recognition for their commitment to the title industry, but the greatest benefit is knowing you're making a difference for your industry and your business in Washington.
Your Contribution Makes a Difference
As a result of the current economic crisis, efforts will be made in this year's Congress to overhaul the entire financial services regulatory structure and tackle several issues that will affect our industry and our business, such as RESPA Reform, the federal housing stimulus, federal insurance charter legislation, and regulatory restructuring/determining the role of GSE's.
ALTA is working hard to make sure the land title industry is not harmed in these massive overhauls, before it is too late.
Become Active in TIPAC
TIPAC must obtain corporate approval of solicitation from ALTA's member companies before soliciting their eligible employees. ALTA's dues invoice includes a corporate approval clause, and separate Corporate Approval of Solicitation cards have been mailed to all active ALTA members.
