Title Agency Launches National Default Service

October 1, 2009

Woodbury, N.Y.-based Titleserv National, a provider of title insurance, appraisal and settlement services, announced the formation of Titleserv National Default Services, a new company specializing in loss mitigation. Industry veterans Mitchell Oringer and Richard Fikani have been brought on board to lead the team.

Oringer has been named senior vice president of loss mitigation for the company. He has previously directed loss mitigation and collections operations at Clayton National, GMAC ResCap and IndyMac Federal Bank. He oversees all aspects of component loss mitigation operations, including management of Titleserv National Default's Austin, Texas, and Woodbury, N.Y., locations.

Fikani, former head of mortgage operations for Wachovia Mortgage, serves as the new company’s vice president of loss mitigation.

"We've been able to offer special servicing-styled loss mitigation services to servicers and their investors," Oringer said. "We have the knowledge and experience to work out loans with any servicing requirement.”

Titleserv, which was formed in 1986, operates in 47 states.
