Small Agents Discuss Current Challenges and
Receive Updates From ALTA® Leadership

November 15, 2006

Greg Kosin, ALTA President, Cindy King, Chair, ALTA Education Committee; and Ed Miller, ALTA Vice President of Public Policy and Chief Counsel were on-hand at last weekend's Small Agents and Abstracters Forum to provide updates and respond to questions regarding ALTA's goals, educational tools, and government affairs issues. This event, the fourth of its kind thus far, was a resounding success. Pat Kearney, President of Title Professionals, Inc. in Ohio spoke for the group when she said, "While it was difficult to break away (from the office), it was well worth it. I look forward to the next Forum."

The bulk of the Forum was dedicated to participant discussion on surviving the current marketplace and the group shared a number of ideas for diversifying, increasing revenue, and even thriving in today's environment. Members left the gathering with a plethora of solutions, tools, and new information to help them tackle the current title-industry climate. Information regarding future Forums will be available in the coming months via E-news and online at www.alta.org.
