Law Firm Wins Connecticut Quality Improvement Award

August 29, 2006

The law firm of Baillie Hall & Hershman P.C., Connecticut’s largest supplier of real estate closing services to the employee relocation industry, won a 2006 Connecticut Quality Improvement Award (CQIA) Innovation Prize. The award recognizes the firm’s successful implementation of TransactionPoint®, the task-automation platform designed to manage real estate closing documents and communications online. Baillie Hall & Hershman P.C. is the first law firm in Connecticut to offer online closings. The new technology has increased efficiency by one third.

“TransactionPoint® enables us to complete twenty percent more closings per month,” said Attorney Don Baillie. “The technology reduces anxiety for clients because they can check the status of a closing at their convenience, as frequently or infrequently as needed. Our clients love it.”

Developed by Fidelity National Real Estate Solutions, TransactionPoint® is a secure Web-based real estate transaction management platform. It eliminates many of the common headaches that are inherent to the closing process such as updating and maintaining documents, and informing relevant parties of when next steps are required.

The Connecticut Quality Improvement Award, Inc., America’s first state-level quality award, was founded in 1987 utilizing the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for Performance Excellence criteria in an effort to advance innovative programs that improve quality, performance, and marketplace competitiveness.
