LandAmerica Aligns Commercial Operations Within Single Customer Channel

RICHMOND, Va., /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: LFG), a leading provider of real estate transaction services, announces the alignment of its Commercial Services customer channel by including all offices specializing in national commercial real estate transactions as well as those offices that concentrate on commercial transactions in local markets. This strategic move brings executive leadership and decision-making closer to the company's commercial customers. In addition, commercial customers will now have a single point of contact that supports both national and local business with seamless, integrated solutions for the commercial real estate transaction.

In order to align more closely with commercial customers in LandAmerica's six geographic regions, senior leaders have been appointed to develop and manage both the national and local commercial business. These leaders will work closely with regional executives to bring LandAmerica's comprehensive commercial service offerings to the company's customers. The leaders for LandAmerica Commercial Services are as follows:

Pam K. Saylors has been appointed National Senior Vice President - Commercial Services. Saylors plays a key role in setting the strategy and its implementation for the Commercial Services customer channel. She has responsibility for national customer relationships to ensure that LandAmerica's transaction service offerings and technology platforms exceed customer expectations. She will be working with the regional Senior Vice Presidents to facilitate growth and operational excellence. Previously, Saylors was Senior Vice President - Commercial Operations Manager. Saylors received her juris doctorate from Woodrow Wilson College of Law, her master of arts degree from Emory University, and her bachelor's of arts degree from Berry College. She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, CREW Network, AECRE, NAIOP, PREA, and CORENET.

Norman Essey has been promoted to Senior Vice President - Commercial Services/Midwest Region. Essey is responsible for Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. He previously served as Vice President - Agency Services/National Agents Manager. Essey earned his juris doctorate from Capital University Law School and his bachelor's of arts degree in political science from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the American and Columbus, Ohio Bar Associations, is a past President of the Central Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and is a past President of the Central Ohio Land Title Underwriters Association.

John Magness has been promoted to Senior Vice President - Commercial Services/Southwest Region. Magness is responsible for New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. He previously served as President of LandAmerica Commonwealth Land Title in Houston. Magness received his bachelor's of business administration degree in marketing from the University of Houston.

Keith Reynolds continues serving as Senior Vice President and now leads Commercial Services/Southeast Region. Reynolds is responsible for Alabama, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. He previously served as Senior Vice President - Audit and Advisory Resources. Reynolds is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a master of business administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor of science degree in management from Virginia Tech.

Martin Strelecky has been promoted to Senior Vice President - Commercial Services/Northwest Region. Strelecky is responsible for Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. He previously served LandAmerica as Vice President and Manager - National Commercial Services, Seattle. Strelecky received his juris doctorate from DePaul University Law School and his bachelor's of arts in economics from the University of Illinois. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Illinois and Washington, and is a member of the American, King County, and Washington Bar Associations.

Chuck Victor has been promoted to Senior Vice President - Commercial Services/West Region. He is responsible for Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Nevada. Victor also oversees three of the company's wholly owned subsidiaries: LandAmerica Assessment Corporation and LandEurope Assessment Group, offering engineering and environmental assessment services throughout North America and Europe; and LandAmerica Valuation Corporation, offering commercial appraisal services. He previously served as Executive Vice President - LandAmerica Assessment Corporation. Victor is a member of the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association and the Mortgage Bankers Association.

At this time, the Senior Vice President - Commercial Services/Northeast Region position has yet to be filled.

Rounding out the executive leadership of LandAmerica Commercial Services are the following:

Stephen Connor is Senior Vice President - Expanded Services. He oversees LandAmerica 1031 Exchange Services, LandAmerica Commercial Search Services, LandAmerica UCC Insurance and LandAmerica Commercial Lender Services. He previously served as Senior Vice President - The National 1031 Exchange Company and LandAmerica Exchange Company. Connor received his juris doctorate from Capital University Law School and his bachelor's of arts in political science from Ohio Dominican College. He is a member of the Ohio, Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Bar Associations, the Baha'i Justice Society, and the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Joel Peck is Senior Vice President - International. He is responsible for growing LandAmerica's presence outside the U.S. as the company expands its operations abroad. Peck joined LandAmerica in 2002 to establish the company's International Commercial Services division. He has extensive experience in investment banking and real estate development in Europe, including major projects and privatizations in Central and Eastern Europe. Peck earned his juris doctorate from Harvard Law School and a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Wisconsin.

All report directly to Jeff Selby, Executive Vice President - Commercial Services.
