PGP Title Receives Best Practices Certification from HA&W

HA&W’s ComplianceSuccess Program, announced that PGP Title has been certified as compliant with all seven pillars of ALTA’s “Title Insurance and Settlement Company Best Practices.

PGP Title is a subsidiary of PulteGroup Inc. and provides title and closing services in 18 states. PGP Title’s compliance testing and attestation reporting was conducted by the accounting firm of HA&W through its ComplianceSuccess Program. HA&W’s program delivers independent third-party assurance using CPA professional standards, which provide greater assurance to lenders.

“PGP Title launched the ALTA Best Practices project because of the value it brings to PulteGroup’s homebuyers and the settlement service providers who serve them,” said Debra Still, president and CEO of Pulte Financial Services. “The HA&W ComplianceSuccess team was incredibly knowledgeable and responsive, minimized business disruption and provided us with confidence in the attestation testing and reporting they performed.”

Preparation, coordination and overall project management were key for an efficient and effective engagement, given the national scope of PGP Title’s market.

“PGP Title was a model client for HA&W’s ComplianceSuccess Program and it was evident from the onset of the engagement that the company took ALTA Best Practices compliance seriously,” said Lee Fields, managing director of HA&W’s Business Consulting Services group. “They started the process with strong buy-in from the top and committed a dedicated team of professionals to drive the compliance process. This approach enabled the company’s success in rapid fashion and resulted in their compliance certification across all seven ALTA Best Practices.”
