The Docket: Maryland Court of Special Appeals Rules Bankruptcy Void When Stay in Effect

March 17, 2015

Today’s review of a case involving a creditors who filed suit not knowing that the defendants had filed bankruptcy petitions thereby triggering the automatic stay in bankruptcy was provided by Michael Russo Jr. of the law firm Council Baradel. Read on to learn why Russo says this case is important to the title insurance industry when reviewing litigation affecting title that was pending concurrently with a bankruptcy action.
