Stewart Title Guaranty Embarks on Third Annual Community of Sharing Program for Title Agencies

Stewart Title Guaranty Co. launched the third annual Community of Sharing initiative, a national charitable giving program designed to enable the company’s independent agency network to give back to the communities in which they work and live.

The program aims to raise $40,000 to support Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit that builds specially adapted homes for service members who have returned home from duty with life-altering injuries since 9/11.

“Stewart has a long history of charitable giving, and the continuation of our Community of Sharing program ensures this legacy continues into the future,” said George Houghton, Stewart’s group president of agency operations. “Our past results underscore the fact that although our national network is comprised of hundreds of agencies from communities from coast-to-coast, we can make a much stronger impact when we’re working together to achieve our goals.”

Through the Community of Sharing program Stewart Title Guaranty’s independent agencies have raised more than $87,000 to benefit the community and wounded veterans.

As a part of the national program, independent title agency associates are asked to watch a series of videos to learn more about Stewart products and services that can benefit the agency. Stewart in turn will donate $20 to Homes for Our Troops each time one of the videos is viewed by an agency associate. Through the program, it is possible for each individual agency associate to generate $80 for Homes for Our Troops by the program’s end in September simply by watching videos. Agency associates can also make personal donations to further the cause.
