Old Republic Title Promotes Lieser to CFO

Old Republic National Title Insurance Group has promoted Chris Lieser to senior vice president and chief financial officer.

In this role, Lieser will report will be responsible for all internal and external financial reporting, company audits and examinations, financial analysis, and internal control procedures. He will report to Mark Bilbrey, president of ORTIG

“We are excited for Chris to step into the CFO position, as he is uniquely and extremely well-qualified for this critical role in the ORTIG,” Bilbrey said. “This is due to his long service and knowledge of the ORTIG, coupled with his impressive educational credentials, background and experience in our industry.

Lieser joined Old Republic Title in 1984 as a financial analyst and has held a variety of significant positions within the title group’s corporate finance department over the years, most recently as senior vice president and controller. He replaces Gary Horn, who is moving to the newly created position of executive vice president – corporate finance and development. This move is part of a long-term plan of transition by Gary. Horn will continue to be responsible for industry analysis, working with executive management and operations on growth initiatives and special projects, assisting in presentations about the company and supporting the corporate finance department in certain areas.
