U.S. MBA Mortgage Applications Index Increased 1% Last Week

Mortgage applications in the U.S. increased last week after slumping during the period that included the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Mortgage Bankers Association’s index climbed 1 percent in the period ended Dec. 6 after plunging 12.8 percent, the Washington-based trade group reported today.
