Indiana legislation Supported by Title Industry Revives Strict Foreclosure

March 29, 2012

On March 19, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels signed legislation supported by the Indiana Land Title Association that reverses the Indiana Supreme Court’s June 2011 decision in Citizens State Bank of New Castle v. Countrywide Home Loans and Federal National Mortgage Association, which abrogated the doctrine of strict foreclosure.
