The top echelon at RE/MAX International has undergone some changes. Co-founder Dave Liniger has announced that the other co-founder, Gail Liniger, has been named vice-chairman of the board. Gail Liniger formerly served as CEO.

Other changes include the promotion of Daryl Jesperson to CEO, who was promoted from the position of president. Margaret Kelly, formerly a SVP, external operations was promoted to president and COO. The new positions are effective immediately.

"These changes allow us to maximize the experience of our executive team," Dave Liniger stated. "We have all worked closely together for years and understand our mission and intermediate goals. Of course we have some interesting long-term goals as well and the new structure affords us the ability to focus our energies more efficiently."

Jesperson has been with RE/MAX since 1976, beginning as a sales associate in a Denver franchise and working in virtually every aspect of the system.

Kelly joined RE/MAX as a financial analyst in 1987 and has since worked her way up through the Colorado regional operations and into international headquarter positions including zone director and VP.

RE/MAX International was founded in 1973 and has grown to a membership exceeding 71,000 and encompassing more than 4,200 franchised offices in 39 countries and eight territories on six continents.
