First American Named to the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For

First American Financial Corporation is one of the 2017 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, according to Fortune and global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work. This marks the second consecutive year that First American has earned a place among the Fortune' 100 Best Companies to Work For.

“Ranking among the best companies in America to work for two years running is a tremendous accomplishment,” said Dennis Gilmore, chief executive officer of First American Financial. “Our people consistently impress me with their integrity, commitment and teamwork, so I’m proud to see their efforts to create a premier workplace recognized nationally again. Embracing a culture that emphasizes people first continues to deliver returns for our employees, our customers, our shareholders and for the communities in which we work.”

First American was among hundreds of other companies evaluated for placement on the list. The evaluation is based on feedback from over 232,000 employees at Great Place to Work–Certified companies with more than 1,000 employees. Companies vying for consideration must participate in an employee survey and respond to an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Employees rate their workplace culture on a variety of aspects, including the level of trust they feel toward leaders, the pride they take in their jobs and the camaraderie they experience with co-workers.
