February 2, 2017

Missouri-based Agents National Title Insurance Co. named industry veteran Pat Carney as chief strategy officer (CSO). In his new position, Carney will be charged with identifying, prioritizing opportunities and driving innovative solutions that influence Agents National Title’s growth and expansion opportunities via organic or through strategic acquisitions.

“Agents National Title has all of the ingredients I was looking for: great people, great reputation and poised for rapid growth,” Carney said. “I’m looking forward to being part of something really special that will have a huge impact on the Title Industry.”

As CSO, Carney will oversee the strategy behind the company’s technology and industry partnerships and will look holistically at the agent experience based on heightened needs and expectations. Carney will work closely with all players within the mortgage ecosystem—including title and settlement, real estate, mortgage and technology partners—to drive creativity and implement forward-thinking solutions.

“ANTIC is committed to utilizing and deploying state of the art industry technology and solutions that allow our agents and partners to work more efficiently,” said David Townsend NTP, president and CEO of Agents National Title. “Pat will also strengthen our relationships with lenders and agents nationwide though his extensive network of title and lending professionals.”

Carney most recently was chief innovation officer at ClosingCorp, provider of residential real estate closing cost data and technology. Prior to that, he was chief operations officer and chief strategy officer at reQuire, a web-based lien release tracking and reporting service. He also founded 360 STS, a consulting firm that assists title companies with developing new products and solutions for enabling workflow, automation and compliance. Earlier in his career, Carney founded four successful title companies, was a performance consultant for a large national underwriter and served as chief technology officer at large title companies.
