Louisiana Updates Trust Code

August 18, 2016

The legislation, which went into effect Aug. 1, expands the definition of "person" in the Louisiana Trust Code to include a limited liability company and provides that if a trust contains a transfer of immovable property or other property the title to which must be recorded, among other things.
