Stewart Appoints New Agency Services Manager for New Hampshire and Maine

July 28, 2011

Stewart Title Guaranty Co. appointed Gary Bernier as vice president, New Hampshire and Maine agency services manager. In this capacity, Bernier will manage Stewart’s independent agency network in both states, and continue as the New Hampshire and Maine underwriting counsel.

“Gary brings extensive knowledge and experience to his new role, which will enhance the service provided to our New Hampshire and Maine agents and in turn lead to further growth and profitability,” said Stephen Dinsmore, senior vice president, Northern New England Agency Services district manager. “Gary’s seven years of experience at Stewart in underwriting, claims and agency support has earned the respect and trust of our existing agency base, as well as prospective agencies in both states.”

Prior to joining Stewart in 2004, Bernier was a partner in a Londonderry, N.H., law firm and previously served as a special assistant U.S. attorney. He is an active member of the New England Land Title Association and currently serves on its Board of Directors.

Bernier received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, an M.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.A. from Saint Anselm College.
