ABA to Share Lender RESPA Issues During Business Strategies Conference

April 29, 2010

Rod Alba, vice president and senior regulatory counsel for Mortgage Finance for the American Bankers Association, will join a panel of ALTA RESPA Implementation Task Force members to share insight into how the industry is adapting to the new GFE/HUD-1 during the 2010 Business Strategies Conference, being held May 2-4 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Alba, who will address concerns from the lending community, joins Gene Aalseth of First American Title Insurance Co., Chris Christensen of PeirsonPatterson, LLP, Wes Lasseigne of Lenders Title Co. and Mary Schuster of RamQuest Software, Inc., during the general session on May 4. The group will provide the latest analysis from HUD in how to handle the new GFE/HUD-1, and also provide insight into how title agents can take advantage of these new settlement forms to capture business.
