Statement From ALTA CEO Kurt Pfotenhauer on the Election of Barack Obama

On behalf of our 3,000 member companies, ATLA congratulates President-elect Obama on his historic victory. As we unite the country to address the many issues before us, ALTA looks forward to working with the Obama Administration to ensure consumers are protected by true reform of RESPA, states continue to effectively regulate insurance, and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac provide needed financing for the purchase of real estate. We also remain committed to working with the Administration to advance policies that revitalize the housing market and help small businesses create new jobs for the economy.
