President Signs Terrorism Insurance Extension

On Wednesday, December 26, President Bush signed H.R. 2761, the "Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2007." The bill extends the current program for seven years (through 2014). In addition, H.R. 2761 includes provisions that support coverage for domestic acts of terrorism; calls for a study of nuclear, chemical, biological and radiological (NCBR) insurance; and the study of the availability and affordability of terrorism insurance in certain markets.
