Stewart Title Guaranty de Mexico S.A. de C.V. Appoints a New General Manager

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stewart Title Guaranty de Mexico S.A. de C.V. has appointed Alvaro Palma as general manager. Palma will office at the company headquarters in Mexico City, Mexico. Stewart Title Guaranty de Mexico S.A. de C.V. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp. (NYSE:STC - News), and is the first and currently the only Mexican title insurance underwriter licensed to provide title insurance policies in Mexico.

"We are delighted that Alvaro has accepted this position," said Michael B. Skalka, chairman of the board of directors, Stewart Title Guaranty de Mexico S.A. de C.V. "Alvaro's personality, proven leadership skills, his evidenced desire to be responsive and responsible impressed me during his tenure with Stewart Title Latin America as an outstanding leader and we are fortunate to have him as the new general manager in Mexico."

Alvaro is a Certified Public Accountant and has served as the chief financial officer and chief operations officer for Stewart Title Latin America, where he assisted in the opening of seven offices in Mexico and the Caribbean.

"The appointment of a new general manager to Stewart Title Guaranty de Mexico S.A. de C.V. is part of an operations restructuring for strategic growth in offices and staffing, while continuing to promote magnificent service by inspired professionals," said Skalka. "STG de Mexico revenue growth this year to-date has already exceeded last year."
