The Arkansas Land Title Association Presents Two With Industry Awards

Mike Pryor, President and CEO of Lenders Title Company, was honored as the 2006 Title Man of the Year Award at the Arkansas Land Title Association awards banquet. The award was presented by Jerry Nixon and Craig Gill of Arkansas Title Insurance Company.

In addition, Anita Renard, a title agent with Mena Title Company, was presented with the 2006 Young Title Person of the Year Award . Jeremy Thornton, of Mena Title Company, nominated Renard for her award. Lucenia Whitehead, chairperson of the Young Title Person committee, presented the award.

Pryor, a native of Morrilton, has been with Lenders Title Company since 1995. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officers at Lenders Title Company in 1998 and Chief Executive Officer in 2000. Before joining Lenders Title he was the owner of Craighead County Abstract & Title Company and Markle Abstract Company in Jonesboro.

Pryor is a 1976 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University and has postgraduate studies at UALR School of Law and Arkansas State University. In addition to his service to the Arkansas Land Title Association, Pryor is active in the American Land Title Association presently serving as vice-chairman of the political action committee and a member of the governmental affairs committee.

Renard has worked in the title industry for over six years. She began her career as a receptionist with Mena Title Company and assisted in handling escrow accounts. Renard received her title agent’s license in 2003.

“Anita has done a tremendous job for us at Mena Title Company and she is very deserving of this award,” Jeremy Thornton said. ”She always conducts herself in a truly professional manner and has worked very hard to reach the level of success she has achieved.”
