Stewart Escrow & Title of Lawton Now Branch of Stewart Abstract & Title of Oklahoma

HOUSTON -- Stewart Abstract & Title of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City has acquired the remaining stock of Stewart Escrow and Title of Lawton, Okla. Existing management and staff has remained with the office, which is now a branch of the Oklahoma City company.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Stewart Abstract & Title of Oklahoma is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Title Co.

"We previously owned a minority interest in the office," said Gerri Heidebrecht, president, Stewart Abstract & Title of Oklahoma. "We are pleased for the opportunity to truly bring this office into the Stewart family. We look forward to offering greater customer service, utilizing the marketing expertise and enhanced employee training and benefits that are a hallmark of Stewart Title and particularly our Oklahoma City operation.

"Karin McCarter has served as manager there for several years and will continue to perform an excellent job," added Heidebrecht. "We look forward to working with the real estate agents, commercial brokers, builders, lenders and attorneys in the Lawton and Duncan area."
