Homestore Inc., which operates home-search sites including Realtor.com and HomeBuilder.com, this week announced the launch of a home valuation tool at Homestore.com.

The "What's Your Home Worth?" tool is a part of the Top Marketer set of online tools that provide real estate information while facilitating a connection between consumers and Realtors, according to the announcement.

"Research from the California Association of Realtors shows that nearly all consumers who use the Internet during the home buying and selling process go online to research the local real estate market," said Errol Samuelson, president of Homestore's Top Producer company.

"With Top Marketer, home buyers and sellers will have immediate access to local market information, including recent area home sales and local median home prices," he added. "Top Marketer not only gives consumers information they can use right away, it also gives them the opportunity to engage a Realtor."

Subsequent phases of Top Marketer will include additional tools for consumers throughout the Homestore network of Web sites.

In addition to Realtor.com (affiliated with the National Association of Realtors) and HomeBuilder.com (affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders), the company also operates RentNet, SeniorHousingNet, FactoryBuiltHousing.com, and Homestore.com.
