Developer's guide aims to streamline loan processing

Atlanta-based Advectis, which makes electronic mortgage document collaboration solutions, has created a new developer's guide to provide lenders, investors and others with an interface to its BlitzDocs platform, the company said today.

The Web services guide facilitates tight integration of mortgage loan data and associated documents by providing application-to-BlitzDocs communication, the company said. As a result, lenders can achieve greater efficiencies with more streamlined loan processing capabilities.

"The developer's guide provides a documented roadmap for the existing BlitzDocs Web Services," said Judson Phillips, director of product marketing of Advectis, in a statement.

Customers and provider partners can use the guide to create real-time integrations from third-party systems into the BlitzDocs collaborative platform, Phillips said.

"For example, an underwriter operating within an LOS can click a button and be presented with the document images from BlitzDocs, creating a seamless interface between loan data and image. Documents, such as the credit report, can be inserted automatically into the BlitzDocs e-folder, reducing steps in the process," Phillips said.

The Web services integration capability includes:

  • Integration of potential disparate systems, via an industry standard interface
  • Access to data and service APIs in the BlitzDocs platform
  • The ability to link a lender's loan origination system with documents captured in BlitzDocs
  • Flexibility regarding where and how data is presented and used
  • The ability to build solutions that leverage internal data and systems
Filogix, provider of business solutions to Canada's real estate and mortgage-related industries, has used Web Services API to integrate its loan origination system and point-of-sale solutions with the BlitzDocs application.

Advectis' core product is a solution for electronic document collaboration, BlitzDocs Enterprise. The Web-based BlitzDocs platform provides an electronic platform for all participants in the mortgage loan industry to capture, submit, organize, underwrite, audit, share and archive loan documents electronically. The system uses an electronic loan folder which mirrors the paper loan folder that mortgage companies use today, but streamlines loan processing through capturing, collaborating, sharing and archiving of the e-folder.
