Centex Names Tim Bartosh CEO of Mortgage, Title & Insurance Group

DALLAS /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Centex Corporation (NYSE: CTX - News) today announced it promoted Tim Bartosh, 43, to CEO of the Centex Mortgage, Title & Insurance Group, effective April 1. John Matthews, who announced his retirement with the company, will remain chairman of CTX Mortgage through Dec. 31, 2005, at which time Mr. Bartosh will assume that role.

Mr. Bartosh has served in several key positions with the mortgage operation since joining the company in 1992, including roles in secondary marketing, product development and capital markets. He was named president and chief operating officer of CTX Mortgage in June 1999, and has played a major role in helping CTX Mortgage achieve its industry-leading position as one of the largest non-bank-affiliated mortgage companies in the country.

Mr. Bartosh earned a B.B.A from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
