Fannie Mae Chief Economist Doug Duncan to Offer Outlook During ALTA 2014 Annual Convention
A sluggish first half of the year resulted in the Mortgage Bankers Association to cut its 2014 loan origination forecast to $1.05 trillion. Additionally, it's expected that full-year growth this year will be weaker than 2013.
Is this the market your company can expect for the next few years? Register for ALTA's 2014 Annual Convention in Seattle. Doug Duncan, Fannie Mae's senior vice president and chief economist, will provide insight into what he's seeing on the housing front and will share his thoughts on what to expect in terms of volume over the next year so you can properly prepare and adjust staffing.
Named one of Bloomberg / BusinessWeek's 50 Most Powerful People in Real Estate and one of Inman News' 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders for 2013, Duncan is Fannie Mae's source for information and analyses on the external business and economic environment, the implications of changes in economic environment to the company's strategy and execution, and forecasting for housing activity, demographics, overall economic activity and mortgage market activity.
Don't miss this chance to hear from one of the country's top economists and get market analysis to help you own your future. We're sure he'll add in a little comic relief as well. Check out this clip from our 2012 Annual Convention.

Best Practices Video
During the Annual Convention, ALTA plans to show a video of members celebrating implementation of Best Practices. This is where you come in. We need members to create a short video (less than 30 seconds will do) of your staff dancing to Pharrell's Happy song. Because these may be large files, videos must be submitted through Google Drive. Click here for info on submitting your video. Deadline to submit is Aug. 29.
